1989-90 Television Season

For the Fall 1989 season, Fox expanded its national lineup to include a pair of Monday night programs. In December, Fox spun off The Simpsons from The Tracy Ullman Show.

The top five shows of 1989-90 were America's Funniest Home Videos, Different World, Cheers, Roseanne, with the most popular being Cosby Show. (See below for the list of the top 30 programs.)
